Memories

Here's how it works:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together, or one of the first memories you have of me. It doesn't matter if you known me just a while, or we go way back; anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Happy Birthday Jane!

Jane turned 3 on Sunday, can you believe it - 3 years old?! We had family over for a little party. I had been planning a cute friend princess party, but Jane kept saying she only wanted family. So, whatever, that's what she got. I have a lot of cute pictures, but I can't find my cord to connect the camera to the computer, so I'll post them when I find it.

Jane seems so old to me now. She is in a swim class by herself (not a mom & me class), she's starting pre-school in a few weeks, and she's even old enough to pull a little attitude sometimes! However, most of the time, she's my sweet Jane who loves to take care of all of us and all of her babies. I love that girl to pieces!!!

27.44

Yes, that is my 5K time! Jeff and I did a 5K, with others from his company, on July 24th. I had been training, but I would usually run a 10 min. mile. SO I was very excited that I ran a 9 min. mile during the race! It felt good to compete at something and accomplish something. It's been a while since either of those things have happened, so I was very proud of myself! Jeff did well too, he ran it in 23.50, so you know a little faster than me,and no training.

Family Pictures

We recently got family pictures. Here are a few of our poses!

And my favorite, the engagement picture! Maybe we should get married again, or at least send out wedding announcements since we have the picture to go in them. Maybe we would get more wedding gifts!!

Oregon Vacation

This past week we went to Oregon for a vacation and got to see our new nephew Jordan. He is adorable! Steve and Crissy blessed him on Sunday, so we were there for that. Jane loved holding Jordan, and kissing him, and giving him his binky and burpcloth. She is a little mommy.
Here are a few pics from the trip.

Cousin picture - Ryan, Jordan, Jane, and Parker

Pictures from the splash pad we went to.

Me holding my cute baby nephew! Jordan is 1 month old.

Parker and Jane being sillys

On the car ride home we had to stop on the side of the road to change Ryan's diaper. Jane was playing in the dirt and when we looked at her, we started busting up cuz she apparently wiped her hands on her face.

Rodeo, Corn, and Bike Helmets

Sorry for the randomness, I don't feel like making multiple posts.
Jeff and I went to the Lehi Rodeo last weekend which was a lot of fun! I think it was taking me back to my Texas roots. We went without kids. At first I was sad they weren't there because they would have loved it, but within an hour every kid there was falling asleep, or more likely, just being whiny. Then I was really glad we got a babysitter for the night! I think this might turn into an annual event for us, anyone interested in joining us?

Jane is a picky eater, so I am surprised when she eats anything. She said she wanted corn on the cob. When your kid wants to try a vegetable, you stop at nothing to make it happen. She tried it and loved it! When she tried to take her first bite, she said "My teeth too big" which really just meant she couldn't bite into it. After we told her to take a big bite, she quickly got the hang of it and was ferociously attacking the corn.

Ryan didn't get corn on the cob, but I did let him eat yogurt by himself. He's still not good at all at getting it in his mouth, but it keeps him happy while we eat, so it works for everyone!

I am going to do a sprint triathlon! I have until November to train and get ready. I am comfortable with the swim, but my running and biking needs some work. I started running about 2 months ago and I'm seeing progress slowly. But biking! I have not ridden a bike in forever!!! The first time I got back on my bike, I thought why do people say "it's like riding a bike"? I looked like the five year old down the street learning to ride a bike. But, I'm getting better at it. The problem now is I need to find a nice big cushiony seat for my nice big cushiony seat! Those bike seats kill my booty! I thought having a little extra back there would help, not so! I posted pictures of the kids in their helmets (that I know I need to make them wear in the bike trailer) because I don't have a picture of me on a bike yet. And if I did, I wouldn't post it cuz my face would be cringing with pain!
