Zoo Day

Yesterday was so beautiful and warm, so we decided to go to the zoo. Of course when we got there it started raining! Luckily it only lasted about 30 min. We hung out in the monkey house and reptile house during that time. It was a good zoo day b/c it wasn't crowded and the animals all seemed really active (especially the monkeys!).

We did the carousel. Jane will only ride the stationary sitting ones.

And the train

I tried to have Jane sit by this gorilla by herself, but when I went to place her, she started screaming and freaking out, so it's a group photo instead.

She did a little better on the Elephant, but Ryan wasn't to sure of it.

Even though Ryan is not smiling in any pictures, he loved it. He loved walking around and touching the glass that says Do Not Touch! His favorite animal was the wild cat that looks like our neighbor's cats. Jane's favorite animals were the monkey b/c they liked the monkey clip she had in her hair (she says). It was a lot of fun, and now we don't need to go to the zoo again till the summer!

$1.62

This is the best $1.62 that could ever be spent! I wish I would have discovered this a little sooner. You get a medium drink (for me) and a bag of popcorn (for the kids). The nice girl even split the popcorn into 2 bags for the kids! I use this as bribery to be good and stay in the cart while we're shopping, and then we both get a treat if we make it out alive w/ few meltdowns and tantrums! But it could also be used as a shopping snack for "one of those days"! Ahhh, just one more reason to love Target.

Spark

Jeff and I ate at Spark Restaurant Lounge yesterday and we loved it. It had a nice chill atmosphere w/ live jazz music. And the food was different and delicious! It's always good to mix it up a little and try a new place.

Gymboree Rise & Shine

I have an extra Gymboree Rise & Shine coupon - 25 % off all regular-priced items, if anyone wants the online code. I think it can only be used once, but just throwing it out there b/c I'm not using it.

Jeans

I found jeans for Jane! I always have a hard time finding some that fit her well and Target has some great ones! They are the Circo brand bootcut jeans in the Girl's sections. They have sizes 4 - ?, they are in 3 different shades, they come in slim, regular, and plus, AND they have adjustable waste! Oh, AND they are on sale this week for $7! Seriously, does it get any better? I had her try them on and the 4 slim fits her great. I would maybe go in an extra button on the adjustable band, but that's fine. I hate the pants that you have to bring them in so far that they get that bubble butt look in the back and the front. Now if finding jeans for me could be that easy . . . Anyways, just thought I'd share since so many of you out there have the same issues w/ girls jeans as me (or should I say Jane). Happy shopping!

Great Day

Today was a great day b/c of one little miracle. A couple weeks ago I reached for my pizza cutter and it wasn't there. I searched everywhere Ryan could have possibly put it (don't worry, it has a cover on it). Couldn't find it. I bought a new one that sucks so I figured I would just have to order the same one the next time I go to a Pampered Chef party. And then as I was making dinner today, Ryan rounds the corner holding my pizza cutter! Seriously where does he hide these things? Maybe now he can find my iron that I lost about 2 years ago (yeah I replaced it. . . but have yet to use it)!

You Win!!

Now you too can be a winner like me! Thanks Kim!

Lucky you! The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!

2- What I create will be just for you.

3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)

4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!

5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog.

The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment will win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!
