Potty Training Jane, Day # 2
Jane hates using the potty. Today she did pee in the potty twice, so I guess that's a little improvement. Also, she stayed dry during yesterday and today's naps and all last night. Those are the positives. The negatives are 1. having two pee accidents, 2. having one poo accident, and 3. me: "Jane where should you go potty?" Jane: "just wherever"

Potty Training Jane, Day #1
I started potty training Jane today. It really didn't go that great. We started at about 10:00 am and finished up at about 7:30pm when she went to bed. I offered her a large assortment of drinks, but she doesn't really care about drinking, so the whole time she only peed three times - once in the potty (yea!), and 2 accidents. I was giving her dry pants checks every 10 minutes or so and giving her a treat for those. The treat was hopefully to make her thirsty, but that didn't really work. She actually drank more today than normal, but she only peed 3 times in 9 1/2 hours! I guess it shows good bladder control, but maybe too good? Tomorrow I am going to try again and this time only offer beverages as the "treat" at the dry pants checks. I think I will do a sticker chart for using the potty and washing hands also. Now where did I put all those stickers and charts from my teaching days?! I'm hoping this doesn't turn into my potty training blog.

Ryan Crawling
Here's a clip of Ryan crawling. He started a couple weeks ago and he only does the army crawling thing. Jane was the same way. I think it's funny that Jane never crawled "normal" and now it looks like Ryan is following in her footsteps. I guess kids will do "whatever my want" (as Jane says)! This is my first video, so please notice all the fancy effects I added! Oh and the song was titled, "Victory" which I thought was appropriate!

My Little Sweethearts
Jane is constantly wanting to hold Ryan lately, which is hilarious because he almost weighs as much as she does! I guess I should just be glad that 1. she's trying to help and 2. he's too big for her to do much harm. For the most part they play nice and Jane is understanding when Ryan gets into her stuff.

Nursing Mommies
Jane is often seen breastfeeding her baby dolls. When I am nursing Ryan she will pull up a chair and then pull up her shirt. But today was the best. She lifted up her shirt and was trying to get Ryan to come get some milk! She knows Ryan eats Mommy's milk, so I guess she just thought he could eat Jane's milk too. I wish I had the video camera for that one! Today I was also telling her that she drinks milk from a cow. After I told her she said, "Cow giva milk a me? That's so nice! That's so nice cow giva milk a me!"
